Fox news is hurting the progression of society

"Nuclear energy is arguably the safest out there" lol

scotchmouth5029d ago

I'd argue that intellectually lazy people are hurting the progression of society. If people develop opinions from one source instead of researching a topic they are lazy.

Be it Fox News, CNN, or a fortune cookie message.

Your lucky numbers are: 34, 21, 66, 67, 12

"I'd argue that intellectually lazy people are hurting the progression of society." That's what he said, Fox news

Lol at the carefree Fl0wer gameplay having nothing to do with the entire video.

clank5435028d ago

^I know after playing "flower" I became a raving liberal lunatic throwing money out of one hand and flowers out of the other with Gore, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid promotion buttons all over my clothes. Didn't everyone?

buddymagoo5028d ago

I think they are just scared kids might become a little more educated.

Godmars2905029d ago

I actually agree with that, nuclear energy safe, only when it goes wrong it goes way wrong. Still it should be researched and developed instead of the current older plants be allowed to keep running.

As for the rest of that trite...

SilentNegotiator5028d ago

With such a lack of long term disposal plans, I wouldn't exactly call nuclear power "safe".

It doesn't help that some of its biggest supporters (At least when they're giving out empty promises for votes) won't create long term solutions, even cutting budgets towards plans for REAL storage.

JsonHenry5029d ago

Pfft. They don't even admit Ron Paul is a frontrunner and flat out ignore him even though he consistently comes in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all polls. What makes anyone think they know what they are talking about if they can't even get political news correct?

SilentNegotiator5028d ago (Edited 5028d ago )

The super-lefties and super-righties are scared s***-less of Dr. Paul. His ideas threaten the monotone ways of the extremists. Your Fox News and MSNBCs barely even acknowledge him and almost NEVER show video footage of him, even when he's the most successful in the debates and they show a bunch of footage of bickering nobody newcomers.

whydoyouask5029d ago

Umm...Nuclear Energy has killed the least amount of people. More people have died by vending machines falling on them then by Nuclear Energy.

radphil5029d ago

Well when you think of it, it's like how people say flying in a plane is the safest way to travel.

Statistically yes, but if something goes wrong, you generally tend to hear the worst things happening.

whydoyouask5029d ago

@ radphil

Good point. It's like the Nuclear Plant in Japan after the earthquake.

It takes a literal natural disaster to damage it and everyone freaks out saying how unsafe nuclear energy is.

DarkTower8055029d ago

But the waste nuclear plants produce is terrible.

whydoyouask5029d ago

@ DarkTower

No, that's just bad. What's terrible is Lex Luthor stealing 40 cakes. XD

Hicken5028d ago

I say we send it into space.

Undeadwolfy5028d ago

@hicken what about the waste produced from producing materials for space and the waste produced in actually sending something to space?

Lazy_Sunday5029d ago (Edited 5029d ago )

This sounds like Fox News, not video games.

n to the b5028d ago

that's exactly what I was thinking. effin righties LOVE to accuse the left of the things THEY do! 'scare tactics'? *smh* oh no, you never did that. *cough* 'DEATH PANELZZ!!!' *cough*

kaveti66165029d ago

nuclear energy is relatively safe and efficient. it has been plagued by bad luck and negative press response.

kaveti66165028d ago

Most scientists agree with nuclear energy as an alternative to more environmentally harmful methods such as coal or even hydroelectric, which disrupts migratory patterns for fishes.

And I guarantee that most scientists don't share Bill O'Reilly's political views.

a08andan5028d ago

Nuclear energy does include fusion. If we manage to build a fusion-powerplant, then we never need to think about lack of electricity again. And it would, from a safety perspective, be the ultimate energy source since if something goes wrong, the process would stop almost immediately due to the high temperatures that are required for fusion.

The power of the Sun would actually be harvested :P The Sun is one giant fusion reactor :P

Ducky5028d ago (Edited 5028d ago )

"...from a safety perspective, be the ultimate energy source since if something goes wrong, the process would stop almost immediately due to the high temperatures that are required for fusion."

Although it's true that you'd need high temperature, the problem is that the fusion process would produce a lot more energy (i.e. heat?)
It essentially becomes a chain reaction after that point, so I don't think the process would stop if something goes wrong with the equipment.

... Or maybe I'm confusing it with the fission reaction.

a08andan5028d ago

@FatOldMan

Well if something goes wrong the temperatures would fall extremly fast and that would immediately shut down the fusion process since fusion needs about 10 million degrees or sumthin like that. If the plant stops functioning, no power will be sent to the fusion reactor and the temperatures will fall.

Pl4sm45028d ago

they used flower as an image of green but corrupt game ? .......the Devs of flower should sue the bastards for being freaking weirdos ..... on a side note ....... ill go back to playing tropico 4 and ally with the USSR and have nuclear programs and test and such

Undeadwolfy5028d ago

I wonder if the devs can sue for slander or libel if it was published

TBM5028d ago

really fox Flower is corrupting the youth? that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard.

wallis5028d ago

Reddeaddestroyer, if I was you I wouldn't go leaving any sensitive information on your answering machine from now onwards.

MagicAccent5028d ago

What a complete backwards ass.. I usually don't react too FOX mischieves, but this guy...

frelyler5029d ago

I agree, but when it comes to Fox news the fail is implied.

blumatt5029d ago

lol Bubbles

OT, how the hell is the game Flower corrupting our youth? ahahaha

NukaCola5029d ago (Edited 5029d ago )

I used to stand up for Fox News. But they used to be for something I believed in.

I feel like they are so far gone in f*cking LaLa-Land now. I mean what the hell? He is talking about fear, but using fear in itself to blame video games that promote good nature, to call them evil?

Games are art, they are media, they are entertainment. When you get a bill in the mail every month for your car, is it just a bill saying what you own or is it a letter from the devil scaring you into spending month so the man doesn't take your car away? No car means you can't go to church right? You go to wacko rallies and hate fests if your stuck at home with no car in front of your evil TV for of evil...

And the asshole said these games are boring. Really? Flower is by far one of the most innovative and imaginative games ever made. And every time I play the game for now one, I'll imagine playing the City is just like taking fox News coorperation down. It sickens me The fox name is still behind such a retarded news station. There not even conservative anymore, just nutballs in red suits. No different than any other evil form of media.

To quote the good Professor Hubert Fonsworth: "I don't want to live on this planet anymore."

n to the b5028d ago

agree. see my above comment, righties calling out the left for something that meanwhile it's really the righties doing it. wtf, america??

MagicAccent5028d ago (Edited 5028d ago )

To quote Professor Hubert Farnsworth, after seeing this clip, "I'll be in my angry dome!"

godfree5029d ago

These games are not boring!

Undeadwolfy5028d ago

Exactly! Thats the main point lol

Unfortunately in order to run them properly on modern windows you have to tinker with ini files and mod em. Should've been a remaster, these games are much better than SIMS 4.

Yes. Been downhill since. And Sims 3 is stll better than 4 even after all these years.

Inverno131d ago

These games deserve a remaster tbh, and a console release. I already had em installed on my Deck but I as I've said before, OG SIMS on the Switch would be a match made in heaven.

babadivad130d ago

There was a co-op version of Sims 2 that was a blast on GameCube.

Inverno129d ago

The console games are an experience like no other. Very experimental.
