I actually agree with that, nuclear energy safe, only when it goes wrong it goes way wrong. Still it should be researched and developed instead of the current older plants be allowed to keep running.

Nuclear energy does include fusion. If we manage to build a fusion-powerplant, then we never need to think about lack of electricity again. And it would, from a safety perspective, be the ultimate energy source since if something goes wrong, the process would stop almost immediately due to the high temperatures that are required for fusion.

The power of the Sun would actually be harvested :P The Sun is one giant fusion reactor :P

Although it's true that you'd need high temperature, the problem is that the fusion process would produce a lot more energy (i.e. heat?)
It essentially becomes a chain reaction after that point, so I don't think the process would stop if something goes wrong with the equipment.

... Or maybe I'm confusing it with the fission reaction.

Well if something goes wrong the temperatures would fall extremly fast and that would immediately shut down the fusion process since fusion needs about 10 million degrees or sumthin like that. If the plant stops functioning, no power will be sent to the fusion reactor and the temperatures will fall.

If you were using nuclear plants in The Sims, you would have to make some nuclear waste disposal sites too. For the "safe" nuclear waste that will "not make you glow in the dark" if not taken care of.

Again Fox news presses the point that these games "further the liberal agenda", glossing over the fact that they clearly have an agenda of their own. Actually Nuclear energy is the best option for clean energy we got.The only problems is that it depends on extremely highly trained professionals and high quality equipment that is under care every single day,the disasters happened manly because of human failure.See Chernobyl for an example.
