Hector: Badge of Carnage: Ep 2. (iOS) Review - BrutalGamer.com

For the most part today’s adventure titles, especially Telltale’s series, have had the appearance of being approachable and “family friendly” to all ages with games like Sam & Max, Wallace & Gromit, and Back to the Future. However, Telltale’s new initiative is hoping broaden the scope, to include a slew of new games aimed toward a more mature audience, with upcoming series based on The Walking Dead, Fables, and Jurassic Park. Also included in that list is developer Straandlooper’s series Hector: Badge of Carnage.

If you’ve missed the days of cruder adventure games, like Leisure Suit Larry, aimed at a mature audience, then Hector: Badge of Carnage series should fit the bill nicely!

TMA: HECTOR Ep2 HD Review

TMA: Last summer an indie adventure took the App Store literally by storm. With HECTOR: Badge of Carnage Ep1 (TMA Review) Straandlooper, a British studio previously known only for their animated flicks, snatched a boatload of glowing reviews and even nabbed themselves a lucrative (probably… hopefully…) deal with Telltale, the pioneers of episodic adventure games. The entire adventure community had held its breath for nearly a year in anticipation of the sequel, which was finally released a few weeks ago in HECTOR Ep2 HD – Senseless Acts of Justice.

"The App Store has no shortage of quality video games"

I kinda feel otherwise . Lots of crap and hand me down ports and clones with only a few valuable games .

And that's an actual owner speaking . Gaming is the lowest on my list of things to do with those machines . But to each their own

"Bottom line, there's something for everyone."

Only in volume , not so much in quality

Allow me to list some quality games

World of goo
Plants vs zombies
Zenonia
Dead space
Real racing
Gta chinatown wars
First 3 final fantasy and tactics
Chaos rings
Nova
Ray man 2
Rage
Tony hawk pro skater 2
Modern combat 2
Infinity blade
Hector
Phoenix wright
Sonic 4
Rock band
Crash bandicoot nitro kart
Rainbow six: shadow vanguard

Any other dozen games from gameloft, ea, square enix and activision

And not to mention game reviewers like appspy seperate the trash from fun addicting casual games.

again some of those are subpar ports or just regular ports .

A few others are inferior clones to better games .

I acknowlege there are a few good games , but the quantity is hardly overwhelming ... unless you never touched a console or a pc .

All im saying is theres enought games on the iphone to justify using it for gaming. I barely have time for consoles let alone handhelds and games like ff3 and gta were improved ports from the ds.
