Capcom’s Christian Svensson comments on the development differences between the two upcoming remastered PSP ports for the Playstation 3, God of War: Origins Collection and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver.
Kratos has been on a rampage, killing Gods in epic battles since 2005. With each release managing to offer high-octane action, I explore each God of War title and rank every adventure from his journey to Olympus to his Norse tales of fatherhood.
I won’t rank Ragnarok just yet, although it is honestly leaving me and my wife blown away…won’t go into details right now, not done as I assume others aren’t either, maybe some of you are, idk haha.
But here’s how I rank them

Haven't played the others but about 30 hrs In to ragnarock now so safe to say if it keeps up it will end up being at the top of my list when I'm done.
I will say the pacing of the original titles and the epic feel to them I feel is way better than the new one’s. Like, I could recognize and appreciate the praise God of War received, but it bores me to tears except for the pivotal moments.
However, that being said I feel Ragnarok is waaaaay better than 2018. I’m only on Ch. 6, but it’s pretty much rocked my face off from the get-go.
I’m really split between this being my GotY or Elden Ring.
I think different games in the series had different strengths but all are great. I liked the original as it was an origin story and the mechanics were fresh. The sequel added smoother gameplay. Three was just so far ahead of it's time graphically it wasn't even funny. Plus great gameplay and bosses and insane gore and nice use of sexy time. The reboot was cool but lost a lot of what I liked about the original trilogy (I don't need my games grown up, just fun). Will wait and see with ragnarok as haven't had time to play it yet.
No diminishing violence or rage in the God of War's first pocket sized adventure.

And if we were to add a single HD remaster of a game, Ōkami HD deserves a mention. It's a technical marvel, with the in-house resolution being 4k and then downsampled to 1080p for use on the PS3. Article about it here:

It's a beast. Definitely a labor of love, and after having already got the platinum for it, I replayed through it again after reading this article due to added appreciation for it
God of war to this date is, all time best in both series and sales. Men lie, Women lie, Number Don't
i see big sales for ps3 next week and some this week with this and price drop .
So what, basically Capcom is too lazy to build the game "from the ground up" and to add trophy support? (but not "lazy" enough to charge full price, obviously...)
I think the difference will be that GOW had a lot of time and effort put into it,they remade the whole engine and even upgraded the cut scenes which is a 1st for the HD remakes and added trophy support even though Sony said the PSP remakes would not have trophy support.
Scamcom on the other hand will do as little as possible with the HD update and then will lock half the content so they can sell you 5-10 dollar unlock keys at a later time.
Wait, how does he know so much if this isn't coming to the west? Well I don't know his position in the company, but I guess he would have to know this stuff even if Capcom US aren't publishing this (or Frontier in the west).
Though I usually don't trust any word from Capcom US (especially from them. The Unity site is now pointless...)
Though I have to admit this is one of the first HD PSP games...
EDIT: Oh wait that explains it... The actual forum respond makes it clearer to me. It seems that they are working on a way to get it to the west! It would be expected about the Ad Hoc part since it's frequently used in Japan compared to other regions.
