Pocket Gamer - When you're locked in a tense battle of wits with someone called 'ATory36' you know you're not playing Modern Combat.
Clearly designed for the Telegraph-reading crowd, Hardwood Spades is a stoic recreation of the classic team-based card game for Tegra 2 Android devices by Silver Creek Entertainment, developer of the strikingly similar Hardwood Solitaire.
When the Xbox 360 launched in November 2005, a majority of Xbox Live Arcade titles were 400 Microsoft Points, or $5. Of course, that didn’t become the standard, as publishers quickly jacked up prices to 800 and 1200 Points. Just because most of today’s games are more expensive, though, doesn’t mean you can’t score some deals. We came across quite a few quality downloads that won’t break the bank, proving that you can still game on the cheap. Here’s a list of good titles that still sell for 400 Points or less.

Microsoft has given silver members a brief taste of what us gold members get on some XBLA games through the month of Dec. You can now play...A kingdom for Keflings, Bomberman Live, Hardwood spades/Hearts, Uno, Small Arms, Aegis Wing and ( breath in ) Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix ... phew.. as online games over christmas for free.
Players with Xbox Live Silver Memberships will have the opportunity to taste some of the multiplayer experience before they upgrade to gold memberships. Microsoft is calling this "Friendship is Free" and for a month these players that have yet to upgrade will see the multiplayer functionality functions for eight games be unlocked for them to try out.
are you frikkin kiddin me or what. Thats its MS give em a taste then 'wallop' F U PAY ME because they'll be hooked right?
Pretty good idea, better if you could play any game, should of thrown a free month in for the Gold Subscribers to. Keep it fair.
What's sad is it's not games like Halo, gears or CoD, it's XBLA games. While they might be fun, this would work better with the big games that people play online.
