Interview: DICE is not working in the next Medal of Honor

Karl-Magnus Troedsson, DICE's CEO, told Eurogamer Spain that the coop missions will be independent from the story, the main campaign will last 10 hours, we won't see vehicles in team deathmatch, there's more than 50 infantry weapons in the multiplayer and that they won't be doing, probably, the next Medal of Honor multiplayer again.

Dice works on Battlefield while another team work on another FPS game. Kind of similar to Activision mentality except different names

Both Medal of Honor and Battlefield have existed very long and got separate big fanbases. For EA to cycle this two makes is a smart idea both for they business model as well as not fatigue the gaming industry with 2 AAA fps's every year.

I agree it is a smart business model (especially using to different names) but what they are doing is what activison has been doing. Whats the guarantee they will use the frostbite 2 engine. I can see this going down a Call of Duty method route with Dice adding major developments to the engine every Battlefield (not bad company)which could be every 4 or 5 years or even more years. They will basically release a similar game every year just with different stories

MOH is not BF and BF is not MOH.

The big difference is that they are two different IPs, and the games are very different.

Dice didn't exactly do a great job on MoH since it was treated as a side job, so I'm a bit more positive about the next game.

MoH really wasn't that bad of a game. I don't think people gave it enough of a chance, I loved it. But there are moments when I feel the game was rushed a little. I didn't like the single player that much either. But online kicked ass!

EA is going to pull a CoD and probably rotate Medal of Honor with Battlefield...

EA is going to water down their own product like they did with the sports titles they do every year...

Well, Battlefield, Bad Company, and MoH. Which isn't bad at all. I can live with a new game every 3 or so years.

If its just Bad Company in the rotation that seems ok.If it was another direct sequel to battlefield that might upset some people.

MoH is being made by Danger Close, I thought everybody knew this by now.

It was made by Danger Close, but DICE built the multiplayer portion of it for them.

Yea, but I'm pretty sure the next ones will be made only by Danger Close, although it may use the Frostbite 2 engine like Need For Speed The Run

good!! i'm sure i'm not the only one that thinks that the history was much better then the MP..
and i want too see what they can do with the MP...
DICE did a ok job on it but soo simple, repetitive and the sniper fest did not help...
danger close will have done a much better job and please dont copy cod this time like dice did...

I like dice and they made the better part of it, but it was only a poor man's version of battlefield.

I remember when MoH was good... I remember storming the beaches at Normandy, I remember flashing my credendials to guards while dressed as a Nazi, I remember deathmatch with a velociraptor...

They need to go back and combine the viseral style of Frontline with the more tense stealth/covert moments of the first games.

MOH was ok for a while. But the multiplayer just couldn't reel me in. I think they were just "experimenting"
I don't think I'll pay much attention the next MOH.

My main issue with the game was the inability to have any kind of party system. My buddy and I play games online together and we sit beforehand and chat while prepping ourselves(no need to get into details about what we do) but we couldn't with MOH. Which is part of why we stopped playing.

MoH was absolute pants, the SP was OK but the multiplayer had the most broken map design ive ever seen, ive never seen more of a campers paradise.

it was basically sit behind an object were DICE's famous glitchy hit detection system wouldnt work i.e sit there with the tip of your head poking out and somehow fire bullets out of your forehead? and rack up the kills.

Plus camping snipers were absolutely rampant due to the narrow "tunnels" you had towards objectives with absolutely no way to flank at all.
