Actually Bad Company 1, 2 and Medal of Honor were all betas or in other meaning DICE was experimenting in what should they do to perfect BF3.

And here is the result after all these releases (I don't mean that previous DICE games this gen were crap). But they are nearly making a true sequel to the one and only BF2

Consoles were already old designs in 2006. Its obvious in 2011 they can only be considered very old.

Yes it did. And Zipper had to use low res textures and limited animations to even get the game to run smooth. Kinda like the pixilated tres in XBOX BC2, horrible looking compared to the PS3 version.

it's not even 32 player on consoles holmes, it's 24

i.e. 12v12

12 people on one team, 12 on another

that's all they can fit with that graphical fidelity and still maintain 20-30 frames.

I am quite sure if they could do more they would, hopefully they remake for the next gen consoles in 2012

....or just get a $150 grapics card and play it on pc!

Of course BF3 will include Jets! The question is: will they have as much air space as the PC version. Consoles will have smaller, more streamlined maps though. I can't find the article but I know i've read and heard that other than the number of players, map size, and graphical capabilities, all the features of the game will be consistent across all platforms.

The Jets can fly outside the accesible map on consoles to maneuver.

Consoles could have bigger maps they didnt made them smaller because they cant handle it. But because consoles cant handle 64 players and thus they have to decrease map size. If they wouldnt there would be no proper multiplayer on the map because you would barely see someone. Jets on consoles can fly over parts that are not accesible to foot soldiers to turn around, if that wouldnt be possible each time you try to turn around you would explode.

I've been thinking about that for a while now. I feel I should get this particular game on PC in order to enjoy it to the max. Unfortunately, I got an iPad 2 this year and I don't think I can afford another significant expense.

560ti GTX in my opinion is the best GPU out there! it's cool, quiet, and $250 or less and it overclocks like a champ. Will run almost everything at max settings with stock clocks (Metro2033 is the only problem for it).

On the AMD side HD6950 2GB model and unlock it to a HD6970

2 6850 is pretty dang good but if you don't have space either go with amd 6950 or gtx560 ti.

low end you can snag a nvidia 450, still get dx11 and run the game at 1080p with most bells and whistles at around 30-45 frames for about $110

You should be able to, I bought MOH LE on PS3 and got an Alpha invite for PC and an email from EA to say the PC beta begins September.
