"After a long wait and multiple delays, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions has finally arrived on the iTunes App Store for the hefty price of $15.99. Is this a worthwhile port of an RPG classic, or is the game’s release on Apple devices a tactical blunder? Actually, both."
Square Enix talks about developing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for Nintendo Switch 2 in a behind-the-scenes interview.
Why do we think this is coming out on Switch 2 before Xbox? Any thoughts? The S2 is not more powerful than the Series S so it’s not a ‘lack of power’ issue. Perhaps the sales forecast is higher on S2 than Xbox so that’s maybe where their priority lies?
The Switch 2 version is really beautiful. It looked as good as the PS5 version.
Members of Square Enix recently made a remarkable discovery upon opening an old storage container at work that had been shut for close to 20 years: a cache of pristine, retro games that includes titles released for the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Atari ST, DOS computers, N-Gage, Nintendo Wii, and Amstrad CPC, among other platforms.
I kind of wish Square Enix would return to their roots… well, more so the PS1 era.
They found retro games and some are as old as 30 years ? So most of it wouldn't even be retro I imagine.
Weird thing is amstrad commodore and spectrum games are much older than 30 years mostly so how are the oldest ones 30 years ?
Kazuyuki Shindo, who worked on games including Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy XIII, and SaGa: Emerald Beyond, has left Square Enix.
I've always been a fan of this entry in the FF series. Of course, I'm a bit shy about spending so much on it for the iPhone when I have the original PS1 disc and PSP copy.
price is too high for a game not to run smoothly.
I wouldn't mind paying the premium price if it was more polished. I'll just wait for a future discount..
