That's great news. Since the developer kits are super cheap, more people will be willing to take a chance with the platform. We'll see the widest variety of games on any portable device--From the hardest of hardcore games to the most casual games and every type of genre of game possible.

@dragonborn,

Sorry, bro. Accidentally hit the "disagree". I meant "agree."

wow sony is definitely making the right moves with the psv

Arthas5018d ago

Now it just needs to be marketed well and hard. If that happens, I dont see people passing this thing up.

Micro_Sony5018d ago

Can regular people get one of these or do you have to own a studio?

DatNJDom815018d ago (Edited 5018d ago )

I'm pretty sure that if u have the money and the talent, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to get it. If you follow the set process I'm guessing it should be ok.

Mario4life5018d ago

well probally anybody(since they are going after indie games), but it still probally has to go a approval process before it is released on the psv

CernaML5018d ago

Just make up a name for a studio and call yourself an indie developer. Sony will probably hand you one for free. :P

Mario4life5018d ago

wow this might be my first non-nintendo handheld, this one is shaping up really nicely and for cheap considering what your getting, nintendo seemed to make the big mistakes early on with the 3ds

Immediately thought of the El Dorado zombie dudes in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

Not necessarily a ‘horror’ moment, but I remember feeling really tense and anxious when the Flood were first introduced in the original Halo. I never felt more on edge or nervous in that whole game as that moment. I think it was the whole buildup that something terrible was coming but you didn’t know exactly what.

Another non-horror game that had me feeling it was Subnautica. The deep dark depths, and knowing that sea monsters were lurking nearby, had me jumping at every sound.

That scene where you first see them attack is pretty crazy!

I remember being scared of the Asylum level in the most recent Thief game from 2014.
