Let them swarm for the Jets. I wil scoot across to the other sides base, lay charges on the aircraft, wait for them to enter and 'KABOOOOOOOOOOM'. The best way to do it is go with a friend who can give you ammo. They don't stand a chance, such easy kills.

My guess is it was a marketing move by Sony and EA...as MS has been giving activision handouts for CoD ever since cod4 ended up so popular...They pay for first access to DLC, a large portion of the ads, etc...

Seems legitimate that Sony would approach EA in some way to get a little more spotlight than the PS3 does with CoD...

Note in the video that there are LAV-AD's launching anti-air missiles near the end of the vid. Also there will be soldier carried anti-air missiles like Stingers and I imagine we will get radar lock on like in BF2 rather than the foolish dart system in BC2.

what a shame it's only 12 vs 12 on consoles. lot's of people are going to be bummed out when they get the console version. This is supposed to be huge war going on, yet on console.. you're going to get the whole team at one time doing different stuff. 8 people in tanks and jets... leaving 4 ground troops?

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they only allow 1 jet per side on the consoles. 12 people on a team is not a lot of boots on the ground, especially when multiple members are up in the air and not taking points. I'm not saying jets don't do their part but in BF2 it usually came down to dog fights in the air having little to do with the battle on the ground and the battle on the ground is what wins the game. I also note that there was only one attack helo per side and usually only one help per side on most maps on BC2. 12 people is a lot to spread around with all the vehicles and still have enough infantry. We'll know for sure how it will balance out when the Beta rolls out.

On downloadable console version of Bf1943 Wake island map had two fighter planes per carrier and two on the airport strip making it a total of 6 aircraft per map.

I wouldnt be hard to believe that everyone who wants to fly can get their dogfighting on.

One way they can do that is to make the base spawn off limit to opposing side by few miles so even it will be difficult for snipers to get easy kills. I hated Vietnam/BF2 camping issues. But i think in Badcompany and above they sorted it out a bit.

It's fine to say how can MW3 possibly compete with that. And I'd agree. How can it? However, we all know that it will. Not only will it compete, but it will probably outsell this monster of a title by about 3-1. Unfortunately there are far too many kids out there that are addicted to that now horrible franchise like it's crack cocaine. They queue up in their droves as usual and buy it by the truck load. Not just kids, though. Sadly there are probably just as many adults out there doing the same thing. I say let MW3 keep them. When I get online with this, I want to be playing with people who know how to help and work as a unit, rather than be sitting in a corner somewhere just waiting to shoot someone in the back.

Of course, we all know that they won't keep off BF3, especially not on consoles. If BF3 is planning on taking a chunk of Call of Duty's player base, they'll be a proportion of those who switch bases, or just buy both. Hopefully they'll have discovered the mute button by that point, you'll never know, they might actually get pretty good if they play enough, but when EA themselves have said they want, what was it, 11 million (?) sales, saying that none of those will be the same sort of people that ruin CoD for everyone is a bit naive.

Really depends on your budget but....
Try to go for a quad core if you can. I'm assuming you don't want to change motherboards so if you're staying with 1156 at least go with an i5. RAM is fine. GTS 450 would run it on low-medium settings I would think? A 560 Ti should run it on high (maybe not HighEST) and they are pretty reasonably priced.

I was using a GTS 250 and a pretty lousy quad core while playing the Alpha and it ran pretty good on medium settings. Not sure how much stronger the GTS 450 is but im sure you will run the game fine at medium settings.

Battlefield 3 looks to be a generation ahead of the old COD4 engine... oh ya IT IS.

Dice has done an amazing job with the Frostbite 2 engine and it shows in this incredible trailer.

The fact that Modern Warfare 3 still uses the old COD4 engine shows that neither activision nor infinity ward have any interest in upgrading to a new game engine and milking the older gameplay mechanics of COD for all its worth.

I will be getting both games but Battlefield 3 is the FPS that I will be spending over 90% of my game time on for sure.

You dont have to, some of us have good rigs to play this game on as well. Also better to have console only players experience this then just PC gamers only.

Just be glad it's designed for PC gaming and not port of consoles :)

This was PC version however it would be still pretty intensive on consoles but with about 24 players. However with 64 players on PC it's pur war. I remember playing BFxxxx back in the early 2000s and we had such teamwork that i was asked to join a clan in UK while i was based in Dubai. We used ventrilio software to communicate and take commands from our team leaders to knock the socks of other gamers.

Sweet times are coming back ;)
