The power of the Tales series is not to be underestimated, as Tales of Xillia has been holding off the likes of Dragon Quest, Mario, Zelda, and Final Fantasy in Famitsu’s most wanted surveys ever since its announcement in December.
Today it was announced that the gaming and anime industry has lost another beloved artist and creator. Mutsumi Inomata has passed away.
The Tales Of series are some of the best RPGs I've ever played, and the characters are a big reason for that. I don't think I played a single game in the series that I didn't enjoy. Rest in peace.
Wow she was the character designer for Tales of Destiny one of my favorites of all time =(
I love the Tales games. Phantasia will always be my favorite. Ironically I felt like as the series progressed the character design became too “anime cliche.”
Although the sequel is on the near horizon, the original Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen remains a fantastic action RPG, still worth playing.
Daman Shelley from NoobFeed writes - Dragon's Dogma is truly a one-of-a-kind game, and there really is no other game like it, but there are a few that come close. Whether with their fantasy settings, the ability to climb mountains, or just with the overall same charm as Capcom’s iconic RPG. Here's a list of games that will hopefully scratch that Dragon's Dogma itch.
I can still hear the title screen music in my head after nearly 12 years. Loved every minute of it.
I have no issues filling my time til DD2.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will probably me more than enough.
More terrified I won't be done in time.
Try not to burn yourself out before the game releases. This is going to be a long and immersive RPG like the first one.
The games in this article are all great and I believe the people who are excited for Dragons Dogma 2 probably already played most of those games.
For now, I recommend you prepare yourself for long play sessions if you will be picking up Dragons Dogma at launch.
type 0 will sell 2.5 mil its first week in japan
Damn so many PS3 games on that list. Sony will continue to dominate Japan both PS3 & PSP plus the coming soon Vita.
I wonder why Dragonquest is no longer made on Sony platforms?
Im still surprised to see FF VSXIII on the top ten, knowing how far away it's from being released.
I guess as long SE keep showing small bits of info & gameplay it'll stay on the list.
steela say: shhhh, the FFXIII-2 sucks...lol
