SystemLink: "Gamer's Guide to Life.com, the best big brother we could ever wish for, had a sit down with Adam Parsons, who left his position as Executive Producer at Codemasters at the start of this month for a secret new project elsewhere. He left us, however, with some of his thoughts on the next generation of consoles."
Neocrisis - Here are some of the hardest platinum trophies to get on the PS3 and PS4. These are the ones that I was able to get myself.
Some of the hardest platinums imo.
Orcs Must Die Uchained
Enter The Gungeon
Max Payne 3
Nuclear Throne
Super Meat Boy
MGS 5 is not a hard platinum, it's just time consuming.
How is Killzone 2 not on this list?
My most enjoyable platinum was 2016 R&C. Most plats get tedious towards the end but R&C was fun the entire time.
Socom confrontation is the true hardest plat they made that dumb hard to ever get the plat i doubt any one in the world besides the devs got the plat
PS4 just earned a new rank as it continues its journey to 100 million.
Best selling PS4 game is UC4 at 4 mil+?? WTF? It's not the best selling game on PS4 but it still sold like 10mil copies already by now.
Wow ps4 shows its strenght. After 4 years is already in top 10. Surprise for me was og ps. I didnt knew it surpassed wii. And 62m for NES. Wow!
Wow! Sony has 3 of the top 4 and the PS4 looks to be moving up into one of those spots. Crazy after all the issue with the PS3, it outsold the 360. And they turned it around by taking MS's lead. They focused on 1st party titles and making the gamer their top priority, like MS did for the 360s first 3-4 yrs. Then they started thinking too far ahead like their PC division.
This is interesting: a PlayStation 4 commercial targeted squarely at kids. Sony’s spent the past few years marketing the machine mostly at adults and core gamers, but it has hinted in recent interviews that it wants to widen the reach of the console as it pursues that all-important 100 million units milestone, and this is an example of that.
I like the way PES is the hardcore footballers choice of game for the kids. Even though we all know FIFA is on their Santa lists and the never heard of PES lol.
don't see it but would still buy either way
I don't think we'll see another PlayStation console for another few years. A new Xbox next year is more feasible.
Sony just started making money on the PS3 itself in the last 12-18 months so making another console doesn't seem right for them. And even if they drop the price $50 in the next year (and they likely will), do you really think Sony is going to launch the PS4 when the PS3 still costs $250? It's just not the right time for them.
Ironically, Sony could probably use a new console more than Microsoft right now. Microsoft is making buckets of money on the 360 and Kinect and are probably content just to sit and keep racking it in for as long as they can. Maybe I'm wrong, but it kind of seems like the PS3 is just treading water right now, despite a stellar lineup of first-party content in 2011. It's traditionally right around the time a console's sales start to even out that the manufacturer starts to push the next big thing.
Granted, the world's economy has likely affected the traditional console launch schedule, but I'd expect a new Xbox console before a new PlayStation console.
I thought we'd see a new Xbox next year, but with all the fantastic numbers the current Xbox 360 is generating and the way Kinect is selling, I just don't see it now. Probably 2013 for next Xbox and 2014 for PS3.
Sony is trying to push 3-D, Vita and are just now making decent games as well as a profit, don't think they are in a hurry to lose money again.
I hate this paradox that people swear PS3 can hang in there for about 2-3 more years but Xbox needs a change immediate. Sorry to inform people but Xbox is doing better than PS3 so what makes you think if NeXtbox can come out in 2012 PS4 can just come in 2014.
They both need to a change and are outdated machinery.
Now being able to connect anytime anywhere much like an OnLive service sounds so good and it would make me very happy because I see that being more of the future of gaming. More service based and not how many pixels and can push and the very old saying of...
"Can it run Crysis though??"
PS4/XBX3G won't come out next year. You might see a light reveal but the earliest you will see them is fall 2013. Also i don't think sony will wait a whole year again and do the same mistake they did this gen.
