Gameflow recently caught up with voice actress Alesia Glidewell to discuss her roles in Portal 2 and StarFox.
Discover 10 timeless video games from the past that remain absolutely playable today. From Chrono Trigger to DOOM, these classics have aged like fine wine!
Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.
All of the Super Smash Bros. games are incredible, but which one stands as the mightiest of them all and has the best modes?
To me smash brows Melee is my all time favorite. I can't tell you how many hours I played that game between friends and family. When I was a kid, my parents couldn't afford a gaming console so I had to go somewhere that had an arcade like setup with the only difference being instead of arcade cabinets, they had big screen crt TV's and gaming consoles setup. I would go with my friends on special occasions after school or with my family on the weekends.
I would meet and make new friends at that place as we were all gamers and we also brought our game boys and would trade pokemon. I don't think those places exist these days but back then, it was easy to meet like-minded people and have fun for hours.
Well, I’ll add my extremely subjective ranking too. I won’t include the 3DS version as I don’t owned it. I did play it for a few minutes though.
5. Brawl.
4. N64 Smash
3. Ultimate
2. Wiiu Smash
1. Melee
Sakurai's views on cutscenes (and how quickly they'll be shared online) haven't really changed that much in 16 years.
I really hope Valve gives Chell some character development in the next Portal. Portal wasn't like Half life, it wasn't released in 1998 it was released in 2007 so I don't see why Valve can't give Chell a personality. All this "You'll feel more like the character" is getting pretty old. I kind of understand why she is mute in the first Portal, it's a new game, we don't know how popular it will become but it became a big success so I was really look forward to see a Valve main character getting some character development and with the amazing job the Portal writters do making funny dialogue for Wheatly and GLaDOS I thought there could of been some hilarious conversations between Chell and GLaDOS when she was a potato and your carry her around.
Alesia Glidewell is a good voice actress I would love her to voice Chell in Portal 3 :)
