GameFly to add 'Unlimited PC Play' this holiday

GameFly will launch a new digital client this holiday, the biggest benefit of which will be a new "Unlimited PC Play" service. It will allow subscribers to download and play any offered PC/Mac games, presenting a natural evolution of the service since it acquired IGN's Direct2Drive platform several months back.

The story is too old to be commented.

Now this could be interesting. Onlive has the $10 a month thing if gamefly does something similar I might want to give it a try!

For $10 a month and if they can offer New titles then sign me up twice!!!

Hell I spend no less than $20 a month on Steam buying games that are super cheap but I end up never playing them cause I have too many!

Bolts3600d ago

Niiice! I can't wait to try this.

That is awesome. I will get this unless they charge over 20 dollars a month. Even then it can still be worth it..

lashes2ashes3600d ago

its free for all existing customers

Gamersgate is doing something similar, now D2D(gamefly), Steam will likely have to adopt something similar down the road if it's a success, I'm all for it, open platform competition 4tw.

I just cancelled my account literally right now. id stay but its just wayyyy to expensive...

Letros3600d ago (Edited 3600d ago )

Would you have stayed if you could have just clicked a game and played it, instead of having to wait for snail mail?

mikeh09183600d ago

Too expensive for your budget personally, or otherwise? For 15 bucks a month and any game you want for however long you want is pretty awesome.

Playing all the games you get per month would be much more costly. But I guess if you only play a few games a years it's not really practical.

hmmm...... 3 new games - $180 versus Unlimited play of all games new or old for my PC for same price? Sounds interesting even for me not being a fan of Subscription services.
