PS3 Backwards Compatibility not so Backwards?

It seems as though Sony is telling the bad news through their website, other than making it official, because most of the bad news of these past weeks have come from their website and the fine print at the bottom.

Now onto the bad news. Remember at E3 2006 and Kaz hirai was interviewed and said that all PS1 and PS2 games will be fully backwards compatible with the PS3, as well as with CD's, DVD's, and Blu-Ray Discs. Well that's not the case anymore. According to their website under "About" tag with the 13 questions.

Can I play midnight club 3 on it .

get a PS3, try it, and if u cant, then sue them. Thats what id do, but why would you want to play old gen on next-gen consoles. Just keep your PS2 and play it there.

how now it's not a bad thing.

It's unbelievable. Sony keeps taking away and all they can say now is that they don't need it. When MS didn't have full backwards compatability that is all they talked about how M$ shafted us. These people are just blind and will love Sony no matter what they do.

is that you may find a couple of games that don't work properly.out of 2000+(don't know the exact number)what that means is they are covering their butts by saying near but not all may work.ps1,ps2,xbox,gamecube.all these systems have had one game or two that froze, didn't work,or had some type of glitch.95-99% is good enough.then you work on the rest.stop reading into it like it's going to only play 50 out of those hundreds of owns their own tech.that gives them a head didn't.that's the they are playing catchup.and i still can't play nfl 2k5 on it.
