Siliconera writes, "Pokémon Black/White director, Junichi Masuda, attended this year’s E3 and posted a few pictures of the things he took note of on his blog."

Violence is in human nature and since the law is against it we satisfy our needs by killing things virtually.

rabidpancakeburglar5022d ago (Edited 5022d ago )

True, that's why games like that are popular and dominate E3 usually. I find it a bit ironic that the director of a game witch involves beating the hell of pets for the money and the glory of having the best pokemon (not dissimilar to dog fighting) is saying this.

rabidpancakeburglar5022d ago

Looks like people are actually gonna take that comment seriously :(

xtreampro_REVENGE!5022d ago

It's also part of human nature to stop violence.

Don't be an idiot.

BakedGoods5022d ago

Fitting username for such a comment...oh wait.

nopunctuation5022d ago (Edited 5022d ago )

Anyone who doesnt think that violence is in our nature needs to look at things like pro sports and most of our entertainment.

American games are about graphics, guts, gore, and a good storyline. Japanese games are about gender confused little boys/girls trying to defeat the *bad guy*, by complaining in whiny little voices in 45 minute cutscenes.
If Japanese developers followed some tips from Kojima, then maybe they would start producing some good games.

Kalowest5022d ago

LMAO, sorry your comment made me laugh.

E-Binnz5022d ago

I'm sorry that I can't take games that have men looking and sounding like women seriously. This is why Metal Gear Solid is the best Japanese made game ever, because you can tell the difference between males and females.

Cpt_kitten5022d ago

american games and good story.....like 5% of them maybe

you sir need to open your closed mind and maybe you will see there is more than dude bros acting like terrorists or drug dealers

mafiahajeri5022d ago

You know thats funny because most people whatch animes and mangas in Japanese to avoid the little whiny girly voices of the english dubbed versions. And please give me names of these so called games from respectable companies.

E-Binnz5021d ago

This is in Japanese, the voices just sound hilarious. Another thing I hate about anime is the ridiculous art style in which everything is frozen in the background and the characters bounce around the screen like a kid diagnosed with ADD without his ritalin.

“Majority of the games look like a same game,” Masuda noted. “There were little of original games. I felt a sense of crisis with above part.”

was he talking about fps' or pokemon? lol i kid i kid

HeavenlySnipes5022d ago

Almost all the pokemon games have the EXACT same plot. Start off in small town with a rival who is the professors niece/nephew pick starter pokemon do battle with rival, leave.

Fight all gym leaders get legendary pokemon of your version. Rinse and repeat.

xtreampro_REVENGE!5022d ago

Pokemon is only one franchise, he said "majority" meaning many games coming from different developers all seem to look the same, he didn't say "one franchise" looks the same.

I'm no Pokemon fan but you people seriously need to learn how to read.

SixZeroFour5022d ago

i guess you missed the part where i wrote "i kid i kid"...so who needs to learn how to read again?

blackburn105022d ago (Edited 5022d ago )

I agree. What a hypocrite. I bet I could name 5 games without killing in it. Journey, Sly Cooper 4, Pixel Jink Lifelike, Sound Shapes and Lil Deviants. And I am sure I could name 5 more

maniacmayhem5022d ago

Boo Who, welcome to the video game industry.

MidnytRain5022d ago

I don't mean to sound like a prick, but I think you misspelled "boohoo".

maniacmayhem5022d ago

Thanks, not every day i write "boohoo".

Anyways there's been killing in games since the beginning of time. With graphics the way they are and only getting better expect violence to get a whole lot more....graphic.

Maybe if nintendo would have shown a new Mario Kart or Starfox it would have been different.

radphil5022d ago

"Boo Who, welcome to the video game industry."

And...that makes it ok?

maniacmayhem5022d ago (Edited 5022d ago )

Yes it does. Why do you ask?

@nopunctuation

Aaaaaaw, i'll give ya an agree :)

radphil5022d ago

Just saying imo that it's better at times to stray away from the norm.

nopunctuation5022d ago

""Boo Who, welcome to the video game industry."

And...that makes it ok?"

Yeah seriously. I wish I had a cute avatar so i could blindly get agrees.

Tuxedo_Mask5022d ago

He does have a point if you think about it. How many big puzzle games have we seen this gen not counting XBLA/PSS? How many offbeat games like PaRappa The Rapper? Shooters are fine, but not if everything is a shooter.

Sorry but saying you got a 1000 people working on the game then say it’s marketing and PR people they just make the adverts not involved in the developing of the game at all which is where they should have had more resources. The bits I do see look really great but when I hear about this curry dex and ingredients but your missing Pokémon, nah. It barely needs advertising people know when it’s happening. Not saying don’t do adverts but hire the people for making the game get that completed fully first.

Rachel_Alucard2010d ago

At least they admitted they would have developed for the portable console instead of the home console if they had the ability to. No wonder everything looks 3DS tier.
