Not so long ago, on a console not really all that far away, LucasArts and Traveller's Tales teamed up with the LEGO Group to create a new game that added a whole new twist onto the Star Wars franchise. That game was LEGO Star Wars for the Xbox. A sleeper hit if there ever was one, the game took the stories from Star Wars Episodes I through III and retold them, with tongue planted firmly in cheek, with the help of the little toy building blocks we all know and love. The game's success paved the way (on a road made up of more tiny plastic blocks) for the inevitable sequel, which revisited the original trilogy with the likes of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. LEGO Star Wars II also marked the first time the series hit the next-gen consoles, though admittedly it was little more than a port of the last-gen model.
