Deadliest Warrior: Legends is the follow up to 2009’s gory arcade game based off of Spike’s popular show of the same name. This new installment brings a new game mode, new characters, customization and all the fun of the original.
Hardcore Gamer: Downloadable content has come a long way since the infamous “horse armor” of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. What originated as a way to expand content distribution past launch has become a controversial element to games – one often conflated with greedy cash-grabbing (not the fun kind).
VGW's Brian Shea: "The notion of downloadable content is commonplace in today’s landscape of launch-day DLC and season passes, but prior to 2007, to have a legitimate, laid-out plan to support a console game post-launch was not a common occurrence. Harmonix, a company that was in the midst of a transition away from the most popular franchise in the industry at the time, Guitar Hero, had a vision for a brand new IP that would eventually revolutionize the concept of downloadable content."
Interview with Carlos Giffoni, Creative Director of 345 Games and Bellator: MMA Onslaught. The following interview highlights the upcoming game and its arcade-style features, attributes, graphics, creative finishes, and create a fighter mode. The strong point in this game, I believe is the Create a fighter mode where you can develop your character from the ground up and gain experience every time you fight. There are different skills and attributes that can be improved for your fighter as well. The character creation mode is also straight forward and easy to use. It is not too complicated to the point where it gets too difficult to create a player and quit. This mode is easy to get into and immediately gets you right into the trenches. The fighting is very arcade-like and fast paced. Unlike UFC Undisputed, where you have to strategically have to face your opponent and be at a slow pace. Bellator is nonstop action that is fun with no pauses. The submission system is very fun as well where you can press buttons repeatedly to out power your opponent, rather than UFC Undisputed where you have to rotate your joystick. The really cool part of this game was the surprising Flash KOs where you can catch your opponent off guard with a game changers. This game looks amazing and features many professional mixed martial arts fighters like Michael Chandler, Patricky “Pitbull” Freire, Daniel Straus, Joe Warren, and Many More! 345 Games’ Bellator: MMA Onslaught can be found on the Playstation Network for $14.99 as well as the Microsoft XBOX Marketplace for 2000 Microsoft Points.
