The director of Uncharted isn't using David O. Russell's screenplay, and isn't even thinking about casting Nathan Fillion yet.
In a list of games that defined the PlayStation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves would certainly be one of the top contenders. The blockbuster sequel to 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune not only received critical acclaim and became a massive hit for Sony’s third console when it was released 15 years ago on October 13th, 2009, but it also cemented Naughty Dog’s future as a developer of cinematic, story-driven action-adventure games as opposed to its history of colorful platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter from previous PlayStation generations. To this day, Uncharted 2 stands as one of the PS3’s best exclusives and one of the most important PlayStation games of all time.
It is for sure my favorite game in the series. It's such a blast to play. The train levels still hold up and are fun as hell as well as the entire game.
Still remember the first gameplay video ... shooting the chasing truck and then the beautiful visuals & details whilst traversing the dilapidated Nepal streets ... perfection
Too bad Sony never ported the trilogy to PC ...
I'll say, the PS3 really did sequels better than people give it credit for. Resistance 2, Uncharted 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous 2... all were better than their initial offerings and still hold up to this day.
During MCM Comic Con London X EGX, CGM got the chance to be part of a press group interview with the stars of the Uncharted titles, namely the legendary Nolan North, who played protagonist Nathan Drake, Emily Rose, who portrayed Elena Fisher and Richard McGonagle, who took on the role of Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan,
November 19 marks 15 years since the release of the Uncharted game that started it all.
I hope they don’t make another until the end of the ps5 lifecycle…. Show us a better jungle

"I think that once we finish it, then we’ll go to actors and see who’s available and who’s right for the parts."
Thats good to hear. Russell mustn't of gotten too far into the screenplay since it was only a few weeks from the announcement that he was directing and that he already had Wahlberg cast as Drake.
It would seem Drake in the screenplay would be based more off Wahlberg and his strenghts than we would expect from the Drake we all know and love.
"Mainly we’re beginning from scratch and going back to the videogame."
Oh hell yes.
Neil Burger is already a million times better than the previous director.
This movie may be decent afterall!
Emily Rose says she wants to do it and if she wants to do it I bet that Nolan would want to do it aswell, I mean if Emily "did" get the role then it's only fair for Nolan and Richard to aswell
As long as they get big stars as the villains then where fine for promotional stuff. Get Nolan on a strict bulk up/diet plan and some make up and we'll be good to go
I think Uncharted fans should be putting Nolan before Fillion even if Fillion is more known, it shouldn't matter Nolan IS Drake and he should be our first choice.
"and isn't even thinking about casting Nathan Fillion yet"
"Will he listen to the internet fervor to cast Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake?"
Nathan Fillion this Nathan Fillion that, I'm sick to death of hearing his name and the Uncharted film in the same sentence. Even if theres a very slim chance we could get the voice actors how do we know if we don't try. People always say the same thing "Because Fillion is more known then any of the voice actors"...SO, if your putting all this effort into getting Fillion the role how about we think about the poor guy who wants his big break in acting, the guy who brought Nate to life...Nolan North. It's like people are just being sheep now with this Nathan Fillion idea. As Whitelightning has said above Emily Rose wants to do it so it's a good sign right...if she got picked then I'm sure Nolan would want to follow.
Guys come on, don't just follow the leader. Nolan North would be a better choice then Nathan Fillion, he should be our second choice.
Why does no one mention in interviews "Hey do you know Nolan North could act Drake out"...come on man :|
