Bozebo, it wasn't due to inefficient programming, BC2 is just a very cpu intensive game because the CPU handles all the destruction physics.

Im running an intel i7 950@ 4.0ghz and have no problem running BC2 at an average of over 100fps @ 1080p, all setting maxed, 8xAA.

Even at stock speeds (3.2ghz) it ran fine, although the minimum frames were slightly lower.

What kind of cpu do you have?

i noticed the first picture was very washed out, the other pictures were more vibrant. I hate when a game looks washed out, i like vivid colors. When things are washed out it looks like there is smog in the game.

Pre Alphas are for gameplay purposes, not graphics. You don't test game mechanics at full resolution anyway. And setting graphics detail was disabled.

I think he is running the game off of some kind of sandbox editor. That's why you see the window titled "frostbite" and not battlefield 3. Which means he is either a developer or stole it from developer. =/

Not impressed by Alpha screenshots, and rightfully so. I'm waiting for final version screenshots to really blow me away.

The information sounds interesting though, especially bullets bouncing off metal. Real bullets don't really bounce, they either penetrate or they create a dent and ricochet in a random direction. Then again, most alpha information isn't the much of a representation of the final game, being an alpha and all.

Probably a bit better considering the console version is scaled down a little. Also, this appears to be extremely optimized. I would say medium settings will be what consoles will look like.

Infact im thinking back to the ea game leaked version dev build of crysis 2 works for pc. If anyone here like i did manage to test it b4 game got realesed you notice at menu bottom right corner clearly stated ps3 not playstation 3 just ps3.

And if you really think the graphics are going to change some substantial amount in the next 3 months you're morons. I'd be willing to bet DICE is already content complete and they're only ironing out bugs now.

How embarrassing... Making these claims that not a single "feature" is set above low in all of these pictures and telling me to read the article when he explicitly states all graphics settings are on high.

He also states that graphics settings are BUGGED as the required graphics drivers aren't available yet.. So there is no reason to believe the graphics setting on these screens are actually the high settings.

I highly doubt that these are the high setting because of what I stated above, as well as the fact that in the last screen it states he is getting 510fps on a single gtx460.

He says he put it on high, yes, but he also said it is bugged that means if he put it on the lowest setting it would look like that,if he put it on the highest setting it would look like that,hell,if he put it on extreme ultra max settings it will...you guessed it look like that.
In easy terms the developers have set it at a setting that can not be changed which is obviously the lowest as it is not being used to test graphics. Nor was it meant to be shown like this so yes the graphics will change a lot just look at some of the leaked e3 multiplayer footage for proof.

This is why developers really hate when their work is leaked out early by some fucking moron. The reason being is that it doesn't nearly reflect on what the final product will be, especially since those screens are all grabbed off an early bugged version of the game with what is almost certainly low configuration. Not a single feature will be set above low there, and then again, not even all the proper features will be present, including DX 11 ones. The other thing is the comments from absolute fucking morons who haven't a clue. Just take a look through the comments on this for example. It brings out the real bellends.

For all those wondering why the screens are so ugly, the graphics settings are bugged and stuck on low, as says in the article, therefore the screens aren't very pretty, nothing to worry about in that sense. Want proof - on the last screen you can see he's getting 510 fps from a mid range card.

FFS why are people thinking this is how the game will look, it's running in a fucking client for a start, it's clearly on low and even then there are plenty of effects missing, even the fucking console versions will look much better than this. Stop worrying.
