Man I love giving my money to capcom right after giving my money to activision.

they couldn't just give us characters as dlc but then again 12 characters $5 dollar each......maybe this is a smarter move after all but then again it would suck if the character you so badly want isn't on this version of the game.

KrimsonKody4821d ago

I agree.
But hey; Capcom "knows" what they're doing, that only gives them more reason to ($$$!) release more DLC.
& don't you dare complain about it, because it's DLC for a newly released game.

Sigh, With companies like Capcom doing what they "do", I am really beginning to feel like one gaming sucker.
Which reminds me; I wonder if I can splash paint on my old T shirts & market them as new...

I think once they realize that super street fighter 4: arcade edition and this don't sell to well, maybe, just maybe they will give us a fully completed street fighter X tekken game!?

Is anyone surprised by this? I remember when all of the stupid Capcom/SF/VS fanboys laughed at me for talking about some sort of Ultimate Super Hyper EX HD Remix version of MvC3 when it was released. I figured it was obvious given how the game received very little in the way of DLC characters. Seems like Capcom has found a formula that suckers will buy into.

1. Release the stripped down game for those who lack patience and will be in line Day 1.

2. Release the game in completed form and market it as being a great value at $40 even though that doesn't include the $60 the suckers spent on the first game.

3. Release even more DLC for the supposedly complete second release and claim that it would be wrong to release a game three times which is why DLC is the way to go.

4. Meanwhile make sure to continue bending your customers over for obnoxiously overpriced DLC outfits.

i hope this crap doesn't become mainstream, re-releasing games and then putting "Ultimate" and "Super" as though that makes a significant difference

El-Fenemeno12134821d ago

I was actually holding off from purchasing marvel vs capcom 3 due to the fear of this happening.

cr33ping_death4821d ago

i cant wait for "SUPER ULTIMATE AWESOME MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3 ARCADE TO BE CONTINUED EDITION" 2 whole new characters that wont make the cut in this one.

Capcom can just crawl in a corner and die...people really need to start a petition against this crap.

A cow can only be milked so many damn times! I refuse to support a developer that cuts content purposely for the sole reason of making money from DLC and re-releases.

Capcom Summer humble bundle offers $349 worth of Steam Deck games for $30

Humble Bundle offers a new summer deal with classic Capcom games and additional charity support - you won't want to miss it.

They the reason my steam library is growing, the bundles are crazy

As if that pile of old ass games is worth $350. I mean there’s some good titles there for sure but there’s no way most gamers haven’t already got or played most of them already. Lots of them haven’t aged well too.

It’s basically $30 for a bunch of games you’ll never play.

Some love for Resident Evil Code Veronica, Dino Crisis, or Okami would be nice Capcom.

Code Veronica’s gotta be on the way. It’s the biggest missing link as far as remakes. Make it so!

What I'll never understand with Dino Crisis was that with RE6, they went down a action heavy route which people disliked and didn't fit the RE formula but I feel that would have worked perfectly for Dino Crisis if they went down the Dino Crisis 2 route of being a action game over the more RE inspired DC1.

As long as it's nothing like DC3, Id absolutely love a new DC game.
