The games industry may thrive on franchises, but for every mega-popular sequel there’s bound to be ten utter failures. Most of these botched follow-ups flounder and die because they’re poor games, but would people believe there are (gasp) totally decent sequels that came and went without so much as a pat on the back?
Countless sequels have been forgotten, but these are the games that, for one reason or the other, failed to stay in gamers hearts and minds. Some attained a small level of popularity and then disappeared; others were barely a blip on the radar.
