IGN - I've seen games a year out that are in significantly better shape than Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Slated to release July 19th, the third entry in the franchise looks like it could use many more months of polish. Although, having played its multiplayer, I don't think any amount of polish would make it any good. As a shooter, it just didn't control well and isn't doing anything new or different enough with its game modes or gameplay to warrant more than a passing look and a shrug.
Want more Red Dead Redemption 2? There are plenty of other games that are worth checking out if you’re looking to scratch that frontier itch.
Call of Juarez: Gunsinger and The Cartel recently vanished from digital storefronts, but the game's aren't gone for good. The developer Techland is now in charge of publishing.
I wish they'd re-release/remaster Gunslinger as a physical copy on PS4. I'm really not keen on digital only.
The 2 year development cycle needs to be extended so we can stop getting buggy, glitchy, half ass games.
I smell a 6 out of 10
Too bad I enjoyed bound in blood. It had a good story and the multiplayer was fun. This one looks awful.
wow the first negative preview from IGN or what>?
I don't get why they left the Cowboy era
it was what made the game special, now it's just another shooter
