Josh Derocher brings us another entry in "The EVE Virgin". EVE is a complex game that a lot of people don't have time for, but the stories that can come from its rich world can be enjoyed by everyone. This week, Josh talks about ships blowing up.
I've always thought EVE sounded interesting, but I just don't have the kind of time or patience to get into something like that. Also, I would literally destroy my computer in rage if I spent that much time and effort getting a ship just to have some high level douchebag destroy it for no reason like that.
The fun part is that it doesnt even need to be a high level douche bag. A gang of players with enough level 1 frigates can take down anything.
This game seems pretty damn crazy and might be the most realistic MMO out there, by the way of it's economics, that is. Crazy corporations and people rising to the top to steal all that shit the corporation had worked for. It's astounding. http://www.cracked.com/blog...
Yeah I read that on cracked.com the other day too. The Ultima Online story made me lol. And that EVE assassination that took over a year in real-time, thats just crazy.
