geohotz didn't do anything at all to gamers.

the psn hack was completely unrelated (ie, nothing to do with geohotz) and was originally done by accident (then anon used the exploit that sony and the infosec community knew about but hadn't been patched)

geohotz was simply trying to make a point, that people should be allowed to do anything they want with something they own (in that case a ps3). Why you would want a ps3 for linux when you can use a pc, I have no idea - but that was the principle.

when it comes down to actually "hacking" other people's networks and devices, yeah - they can go and die. geohotz had nothing to do with anything like that (at least, not that we know of...)

Only real problem with Brink is that no one plays it, it's a perfectly workable Enemy Territory Lite. It gets far to much hate, especially seeing as how it's more then Aim, shoot, kill, repeat.

@annus: LOL, so quick to assume. I was never addicted to it and took many breaks, as a matter of fact. The game has grown progressively easier over time, and judging by recent patch notes, it continues to get easier. Perhaps that's why so many people enjoy it. The game was fun, but it has reached a point where a chimpanzee could play it. Sorry if I insulted your beloved game, but I think I've earned the right to my opinion.

@danielle007: My comment was more of a joke than anything, but I guess you're too in love with the game to have noticed. Furthermore, the only thing hackers would get of mine is my Battle.net games and WoW account, neither of which my life revolves around. My billing info is not stored on their servers because there's no such information associated with my account anymore. If you hadn't noticed, it's by design (aka a security measure).
