Witcher 2 Review - G3

"The only problems that aren’t up for speculation about CD Projekt Red’s latest outing is that in dialogue scenes the overly dramatic back turn gesture is overused, and that movement controls seem to take priority over other essential actions like life saving spells. The latter example may be a result of my computer which barely surpasses the minimum requirements, but the frustrations that resulted from this imperfection are too scorching to ignore.

Now that the cons are out of the way, I’d like to explain why The Witcher 2 is the best RPG to date."

Can anyone explain if the combat system is supposed to be wickedly bad?

You cannot take cover in time enough after a hit to avoid attacks made by two opponents. In the very start of the game, a mission is given to slaugther a group of enemies, which you cannot do without running around and waiting for your shield to come up again.

Also, the conversation from combat to mechanics, such as jumping over an obstacle to opening doors is tremendously terribad.

I really had high hopes for this game, the theme is great - graphics is great. It's just terribly optimized and surely doesn't use multiple cores to run this smoothly.

Personal opinion: 5/10. Simply not spend long enough time on combat system & the combat-to-mechanics switch. The potions cannot be removed prematurely, by for example ( a cleansing potion), but they also give the most annoying sound ever when consumed. Voice acting is decent, script is clearly not written by a professional writer career, neither by someone with the correct english for the time period. I constantly seem to fade away from the world because the script is terribly written.

I take the Witcher 3 over part 2, but Cyberpunk was a disappointment. God I hated Johnny Silverhand so much.
