The Red Faction series has been quietly solid for years. 2009's Red Faction: Guerrilla was a great game; an open world, third person shooter, that had you driving around Mars destroying buildings for the resistance. Volition aims to follow RFG up with a game that promises more realistic destruction and a more focused, but linear, story. What we get is a one of the most beautiful and innovative game engines in the business. Unfortunately, Volition failed to make a game that lives up to the engine.
