Brink has been in the making for a few years now and promises something new, something we've never seen before in a FPS game. Is it true? Did Brink live up to the hype? Is it the future of FPS? goukijones tells you straight.

No, they called you a hater because you're trolling articles of games you have no interest in. It may be broken, but its def not run of the mill.

it does have the feel of a run of the mill shooter but the smart motion feature is really good. if they add in some covering feature it would be amazing.also change the life bar and the lack of instant kills. the game has alot of potential they just need a bit of help.

Yes - Zero instant kills. After you knock a guy down it still takes another full clip practically to finish him off.

i said that the "do the minimum work necessary" attitude that meant they didn't bother to add any women would extend to other areas of the game, and it looks like i was right.

and splash damage has to have the most ironic name in gaming since duke nukem forever seeing how totally pathetic the grenades are in the game.

In regards to adding women and "minimun work necessary" I think you're way off base. It doesn't mean their lazy, look at the level of character customization the game has. For female characters they would have to do a whole other set of character animations for cut scenes and gameplay, in addition to an entirely new list of voice actors.

As for everything else they've stated they're working on the issue. Im not happy with the way the online plays but at least they came right out and said "we're trying to fix it".

Heh, the first paragraph is riddled with misinformation.
They didn't create two Wolfenstein games, nor did they create Doom 3.

Multiplayer maps for RTCW and Doom3 only, did however develop Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars.

Their only original IP is Brink.

You're right, they didn't create them. My bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... They did however work on the multiplayer stuff and apparently didn't learn anything.

i like the game, it's not perfect, but a fun time with some friends, i have the pc version, it looks great, runs at 120 frames per second and takes teamwork to accomplish objectives, i'm happy with it, picked it up for $40

well worth it 4 me:)
