With the impending doom that is failing to materialise with every passing minute, we thought this would give us a chance to explore the godly event through the medium of games. We look at a couple of games that feature God, Demons and the apocalypse.
I feel that while this stuff makes for great games, the people who actually believe this stuff in real life are really really stupid. Most religious people are very unintelligent and even though they have the potential to be smart, they choose to be stupid. I am not saying that believing in something is stupid, it makes sense, but people who are part of a religion are limiting their lives by following propoganda that was created to control them, like peasants controlled by a king.
Whatever you believe, in the end when we all die the same thing happens to all of us. I don't know what that is, but I do know this. You are limiting your lives with all these rules. I have no rules, and can do whatever I want. Religious people can't. At the end when we all die eventually, I will have the same fate as the most pious religious person. The only difference is that I will have actually lived, and they will have wasted their life following some piece of shit who is using them and controlling their lives.
Which sounds better?
I certainly wouldn't say that atheist are more free than religious people. I don't believe in god, due to personal reasons and life experiences, however I am Irish and was brought up in a very catholic community. Most of my family are religious. While I don't believe in what they think, it doesn't necessarily limit them in everyday life, we are after all supposed to be kind to our fellow man, regardless of our beliefs.
If I die and god shows up and says, "we told you so" then consider me a believer, until then, I have no quarrel with religion.
