Kotaku: "Adventure games began as some of the earliest attempts at bridging novels and gameplay. The best of them challenge notions of traditional story-telling and immerse players into the narrative with quirky characters and puzzle-solving. This list explores the obscure adventure games that deserve sequels. Any adventure games that already have sequels won't be considered."
Sean Halliday of Pixel Gate writes:
''For every blockbuster title that garners high praise and sales, there a number of games that fly under the radar. There’s plenty of great titles that have plenty to offer but, for numerous reasons, never get the love and attention they deserve. This isn’t the definitive list of the most overlooked games; it’s merely a look at few of them.''
I'm glad Chinatown Wars is there. This is one of the best GTAs in the series. Right up there with 5 and SA. Get the DS version. You won't be disappointed. Also like to add that the wanted system in GTACTW is by far my favorite of any GTA.
I think mine would be
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom
Tastunoko V Capcom
House of the Dead Overkill
Deadly Premonition
Sam and Max
Honestly I think this last gen had a lot of overlooked titles or at least titles that didn't see the amount of sales they should have. It makes me worry for the future of the current generation.
The Club might have been a new idea , but it doesnt mean that all of those are good .
And Deadly preomonition was hardly overlooked . It's a game that had a bigger than expected and deserved success based on the weird hype "that's it so bad you gotta play it and gonna love it" (an opinion i dont share)
Really liked WWE All Stars, never got to play it online as the servers went down by the time I picked it up.
James Day of Citizengame.co.uk makes Pete and Andy try a game that they’ve never played nor heard of. In this edition of Blind Playtest they play Zack & Wiki for the Wii
Zack & Wiki was one of my favourite games of last generation, and one of the few Wii games I actually enjoyed.
If Nintendo do not snap up a sequel, I hope Sony or Microsoft do.
Inventive use of the Wiimote, even before motion plus.
This was a fun game, and wracked my brain on a few puzzles.
Now I'm just guessing here, but this game's unfortunate failure probably contributed to what turned Capcom how they are today; that is a risk-less company who tries to do everything they possibly can to not lose or miss out on a dime.
now i might get this game ninty pow gave it a 9 and Gameinformer gave it an 8.25
good review
talk about surprising. I remember watching someone play it on On The Spot on gamespot and it not looking that good, but I just might pick this up now
Excellent review. Very cool looking game. Proof that art direction and innovative mechanics take a game a long way.
However this is truth for every system, not just the wii.
Look at the price
This is a mustbuy :D
