Top 10 Expected PC Games in 2011

2010 was a great year for game freaks. Some of the games that were in huge demand last year are Football Manager 2011, Football Manager 2010, The Sims 3, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. As we were discussing the most anticipated games of 2011 , we reached a conclusion that the game developers are playing it safe. No new ideas? creativity? more and more sequels. Seems the developers and publishers are looking to mint money based on the success of there past titles and that no one is ready to come up with something out of the box. We thought Brink and Rage are the only couple of titles without their parents. Anyways, here is the list of games that we thought are worthy to include in this list. Do comment to vote for your favourite upcoming game.

What? A top 10 PC games list and no mention of BF3?! Especially since a few of the ones on the list might not even make a 2011 release (I have my doubts that Max Payne 3, GTA5, or Hitman 5 will). On top of that, they include Gears of War 3 which is a 360 exclusive (which they even state in the description despite the title being about PC games). I'm a PC gamer and BF3 is at the very top of my list. I don't see how they could skip such a huge game that is atop many people's most anticipated games list.

Was aware the iconic Starcaft IP was jumping to South Korea ....

jznrpg47d ago

Weird MS is letting go of a good IP. I don’t mind it but hopefully the best dev wins and I’m not sure who that is outbid those.

Sonyslave347d ago (Edited 47d ago )

What they are bidding for are exclusive rights to develop the IP. Microsoft/blizzard is essentially licensing it out to the highest bidder, not selling the IP.

I wonder if we'll see Starcraft Ghost come out of this. And if we do, I wonder if it'll be a free-to-play gacha game.

goken47d ago (Edited 47d ago )

Given the potential developers, looks inevitable there will be free to play gacha versions. But given south korea’s love for starcraft there would be one that is inline with starcraft 1&2.
Might want to expect some sort of backdoor cheat that only south koreans know of lol 🤣
