VGW: CipherPrime has hit the market with an all new music gaming experience for the iPad. Apple has always touted their desire to let users reach out and touch the music, and Pulse brings that reality home with simple, superb gameplay as you assume the roles of Conductor, note-captor and multi-touch master. Watch the full video review and see why Pulse:Volume One has been given app of the week honors.
DIYGamer: "Keeping to their word, Cipher Prime has offered up the first in a series of free monthly content releases for their hit music-powered iPad title Pulse. The update, available now for owners of the game, adds four new levels with tracks provided by four separate guest artists that collectively “allow for an awesomely eclectic yet cohesive gameplay experience.”"
IGN - Pulse is one of the simplest rhythm games I've ever played. Not to say it's easy; it's just simple. Designed by the same folks behind Auditorium and Fractal, Pulse: Volume One is an elegant rhythm game with no options, tutorials, or complexities. Once you start, you're given a list of eight songs to complete. You can't fail and there's nothing to unlock.
TouchArcade: Pulse: Volume One [$4.99] is a new iPad-exclusive game by Cipher Prime, the developers who created the award-winning Auditorium [Free]. Like Auditorium, Pulse is a simple and elegant music game. This time around, Cipher Prime has moved away from puzzles and into the rhythm game genre.
