Battlefield 3 Clan Support

Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, on Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 had clan support. This enabled someone to create a clan and then invite other players to join there clan.

Many users in Battlefield Bad Company, that were veterans of BF2:MC were dissapointed to not see a clan support system in the game.

Battlefield 1943 came around, and this too did not have clan support. For its advantage, it did have private lobbies that were able to be created to which you could invite other clans into the game to have a clan match.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 did not have clan support like Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, but it had a similar system like Battlefield 1943. There are clan matches played on both PS3 and Xbox 360 currently, running through Gamebattles and other clan sites.

Would you like to see Clan Support in Battlefield 3 like in Battlefield 2 Modern Combat? or Would you like to see private matches like Battlefield 1943 and then running through a 3rd-party site to schedule and report matches?

Please do clan support right please. And don't just add the ability to have clan tags, make a full clan system.

Would prefer DICE to develop a fully fledged clan system that actually works, allowing us to do everything from within the game rather than using external sites. Would be really nice it was to have a clan profile that tracks all the clans progress including wins, losses and kills for example.

Yes exactly my point. We need something just like BF2:MC. The whole system worked great. Had rankings and your rank would get higher with wins and lower with losses and could add Mottos and information about the clan. Could invite any player you wanted.

BF2:MC shits on both the bad company games. I hope they keep the PPM (Points Per Minute) system for rank, that means only the very best players in the world can have the highest rank. If you saw a 5 star general in bf2, you knew they were f***** good - all the mp games today just have ranks that dont mean anything at all, its all about who plays the game the most and has no life (15 prestigers on Bops for example)

And yeh, the built in clan system and ladders were good. RaW, C4, P$, TM - old ps2 bf2 clans *nostalgia*

It's been done before, so it can be done again. BF2: MC was indeed developed by DICE, so I'm thinking that we may well see a return of an in-game clan system similar to what we've seen in MC. Fingers crossed.. Though, clan system or no clan system I'm sure this game is going to blow us all away.

You know, for once, i agree with you Mooks.That was by far my fav Battlefield game.Really wish they would go back to that style.Spent a good year at least playing that game on xbox.

the only thing that i could see making clan support more of a hassle than feature is EA forcing itself into it and making something mandatory in order to sign up with their website and so on

That's what was good about BF2MC. You did not have to sign up on their site at all. It was all in game. You played with your self created account and created your own clan and you were off and running in clan matches. Or you were invited to a clan to play for them. nothing to sign up for.

There was sometimes even competitive matches, where people won money off of the matches.

whatever Dice chooses .. it will be the most amazing experience ever ... its bloody BF3 , a game thats gonna continue the epic game BF2 was ... BF3 is gonna be a game that would last for like 5+ years

To me, Clan Support is a must in Battlefield 3. All Battlefield games are meant to be team game, and you need to work together to win if you are a real team/clan. It will also provide more of a competitive vibe within the game, and give people bragging rights if their clan is good against other clans, besides just the players being good when they play solo against other people just in a regular match. I could say so much more about why we need clan support, but I do not want to ramble.
