Is the PlayStation Network Working?

The PlayStation Network went down on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, leaving people unable to play online, download games and do anything else related to the PSN or PlayStation Store. When the PSN originally went down, users who attempted to login were met with the 80710a06 error code. Now, a message reads "PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintenance" if a PSN login is attempted.

IGN has had it up since the 3rd, they just updated to the exact same thing today.... Wait wasnt the 3rd when services were going to begin going back online? F'in jackasses and their vague info releases at Sony, why tell us services will be going back online if you really meant just for internal testing, why would any of us give a duece about that, WE WANT TO KNOW WHEN WE CAN GET ONLINE AGAIN AND PLAY GAMES!!!

I don't know about everyone else, but every time I tried to log in it said, "PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintenance." I never had that error code.

Why doesn't N4G just put on the main page the network status for PSN and XBOX Live? When a problem with either happens, this is the first place most gamers look for answers.

actually i ask the question every few hours. i check about twice a day to see if its up. At first it wasn't too bad but now its getting REALLY annoying. I have a lot of friends overseas that I play FIFA with and we haven't been able to for the past two weeks. And now it looks like another week again.

At this rate the summer will go by before PSN is up again. I don't play games everyday, maybe just 3 times a week. So if i am annoyed, i can imagine how the "hardcore" everyday gamer must feel. Then again they would probably also have a 360 if they are hardcore so it wont be so bad for them.
