Critical Gamer writes: Is Sharkoon’s X-Tatic SP a PS3 headset, an Xbox 360 headset, or a PC headset? The answer is ‘yes’ once, twice, and thrice. Is it, perhaps, a Wii headset as well? The answer there is: er, sort of.
The X-Tatic SP screams ‘luxury’ in your face before you even rip it eagerly out of the packaging, peeking cheekily at you from behind a cardboard curtain (as seen above). Once free of its partially recyclable prison however, it may instead start screaming ‘Ikea’ at you like a drunken auntie instead. It’s a four piece deal – the main body of the headset, the microphone, a joypad adapter for the 360, and a Component Cable Hijack Device (my personal name for it, more on which later).
Are you of the mindset that an effective gaming keyboard should cost around $100?
If you are, Sharkoon's Skiller Pro gaming keyboard just might change your opinion. While it's not perfect, it's pretty darn good -- especially for the price.
Spec wise, the Drakonia Black is no slouch. It's an 8200 DPI Laser mouse with 12,000 FPS frame rate and 30 G acceleration. The build quality is solid with rubber ridged side grips, and a braided USB 2.0 gold plated connector. The added carrying case and replacement mouse feet are a nice touch.
Ask any PC gamer who is serious about his craft and he'll likely tell you about his fancy gaming mouse that (probably) cost him nearly $100, if not more. When that happens, you can then retort with a similar account in regards to your Sharkoon Drakonia Black mouse - a well-made gaming mouse that costs roughly half of what that other guy's mouse runs.
I picked up this headset 2 weeks ago and im thrilled with its capability. I can never go back to relying on the tv's speaker output. I have a newfound respect for sound design in games and could not believe how much i've been missing. I got my pair online for 50 bucks, and I highly recommend this headset.
nice, if they had a surround version i might go for it. but as it is i love my AX PROs
