As promised, 1C Publishing and the developers of IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover have released yet another patch for their ground-breaking (and PC breaking *grin*) flight combat simulation. The big news is that a new, true full-screen mode has been implemented. Previously the game was running in a stretched window with the borders removed, thus not having the full processing capabilities of your PC's hardware.

I need to try it. I used to enjoy flight games like the Wing Commander series and the other Origin games as well as Red Baron Online on the Sierra Network but have not played many in recent years. Of course the X-Wing games as well.
Played the hell of out LucasArts Battle of Britain when I was a teen. Wing Commander too. Loved those dogfighting games.
I used to get all of the Origin ones. Strike Commander, the one set in WW2 and the WW1 game.

1C: Maddox Games has released a new update for aerial combat game IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover; game owners can download the update on Steam now. This update makes a number of improvements to better the performance of the game.
