DasReviews writes: "Bohemia Interactive, the award-winning independent game development studio, is pleased to announce the deployment of a brand new trailer for the recently released standalone expansion pack, Arma 2: Reinforcements – the latest instalment in its line-up of military simulator games..."
With the first public protests planned for the 26th of November in Prague, a letter of Czech President Vaclav Klaus to the Greek Government seems to bring a new momentum to the cases of the two imprisoned Bohemia Interactive Devs Ivan and Martin. The matter is now proclaimed an issue of international diplomacy between the two states, however the words of Klaus appear rather cautious and hollow, taking into account the tremendous weight of the accusations against the two.
Do these two have anything to do with Dayz development? Regardless, Im sure given the state of Greece and its economy; Greece assumes these two are multi millionaire devs or at least backed by a multi million dollar game company. Perhaps Greece is hoping to "cash in" before they agree to release these two innocent vacationers.
Ivan and Martin worked on the Chernarus map, they were not directly involved in DayZ development. But they could have been involved in making Chernarus Plus for the Standalone, if they were not detained in greece. :/
The release date for DayZ Standalone was updated at official dayzmod.com forums to December 2012. An official Standalone Thread is existing over there where board admin Griff explained that an exact release date cannot be published yet, because a release of an alpha version can be postponed if modifications have to be done right before the internal planned release.
Dean is very active on Twitter in the last weeks and he shared some information about DayZ recently. We already mentioned the possibility of removing barbed wire fencing, but it seems that they are planning to remove tanktraps also. This removal would last as long as these obstacles would stop the infected.
Furthermore Dean announced that Bohemia Interactive will release a DayZ Collector's Edition. It will bit a bit more expensive as DayZ Standalone standard but it will contain some goodies like T-Shirts, Chernarus maps and original DayZ art work.
This is just a bundled pak of British Armed Forces and Private Military Contractors and it has been out for a month.
