GamingUnion.net has just released episode 22 of MiniGUP, one of their podcast series:
"The very face of MiniGUP has changed, and it now generates nothing but pure, undiluted awesome. Join in with the crew in this 22nd episode of MiniGUP as we celebrate Astharis taking the reins as host with her trusty number 2, Colin. Darryl and Brian troll the episode as well!
The group spends some time recapping the previous show and reading some of your comments and then they launch into two different discussions. First deals with Sony and the “problems” they've had over the last couple of weeks. After that, the MiniGUP posse goes into a discussion about the summer drought and whether or not there is one this year.
It all breaks down as they confess to their individual piles of shame. The new era of MiniGUP is here and it is not to be missed! MiniGUP is part of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts Union podcast channel on Gaming Union/iTunes and releases an episode of MiniGUP every three...
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
This entire Sony event has been interesting to watch, that's for sure.
Sony has done irreversible damage to the PlayStation brand, much more than a cheap loyalty program will fix.
My hate is directed at the douchebags that attacked Sony in the first place.
I just hope that people will stop freaking out over the credit card issue. Credit Card fraud is a natural part of any e-commerce system, and the CC companies are more prepared for it that most of us can imagine.
Not to mention, with fraud protection, you're not liable if your card is stolen.
@ JDouglasGU. It is very childish and fanboy like to say that. It is not irreversible damage. Many companies have done equally and worse then what Sony did and still have business and customers to this day.
