Hulu Plus on Xbox LIVE is Useless and a Total Waste of Time

I never really used hulu on the pc so when they made a "+" version didnt mean much to me. I do use netflix on a semi regular basis.

I tried out the hulu on 360 and found the quality to be as good as my digital cable for the hd stuff. I dont know about the rest of you but it was pretty good. I watched several episodes of the ABC show modern family.

That is a show not available on my DVR on demand service. I can see lots of family guy stuff on netflix w/o commercials. The little bit of advertising they have in plus doesnt make sense for a paid service.

As an alternative to paying for full cable or dish...it isnt bad so long as a the shows are fully available without restrictions. Yet that isnt on Hulu but the networks themselves have to make the shows available.

Makes no sense for both Hulu and MS to have released it in the state its in, especially after a six month gap from it going on the PS3.

Also have ask, knowing what responses I'll get, how it compares to Hulu+ on the PS3. Have yet to bother with it myself but I hear that it also doesn't offer complete series unlike the regular PC version.

Really have to wonder what Hulu's problem is that they can't deliver equal levels of service over multiple platforms.

The issue the author is talking about is content and most likely what Hulu is demanding i.e. the ads and stuff.

Netflix isn't like that and Hulu Plus is the same on PS3 if that gives you any clue.

I didn't even bother trying Hulu Plus, they wanted too much information. Screw em! Never liked their business model as it seems unfriendly, always wanting money, but never giving anything back.

= Worth so much more than $100 for DirectTV with 300 channels I rarely ever watch.

Hulu is probably losing money with the service i cannot understand why they try not to fix it from what they can salvage or just get rid of the program already.

Netflix is just getting bigger and and harder to compete with. I watch everything on netflix i no long pay for cable.

The service does not make sense either i can watch every show i want to watch on their website for free and if the show is not available to regular members. Either just wait or download it from somewhere.

I am really glad there was a free trail because I am not going to pay for this as it is. I was expecting to find alot more tv shows since I thought that was their big selling point. Netflix is alot better and Hulu is really going to have to step up their game if they want to compete

hulu does offer a decent amount of shows you just gotta look for them thats the issue i hate it doesn't have the abc type random search that netflix has when you wanna browse for something random i just hate that you pay 8 dollars yes i get some of my current shows that i watch but i still get ads forget that. i can use normal hulu for free and just watch them on there if i wanna suffer through ads

Netflix does a great job of showing you shows you might want to watch. On the other hand, Hulu+ makes you dig down to find what you want to watch, and everything I have in my que has the green web only overlay on it...

the one thing I like about Hulu + so far is the criterion collection, great selection of classic foreign films, some streaming in HD. It depends on what you want from the service.

Netflix is more movies... and tv shows that are on dvd.

Hulu Plus is more tv show based. If you miss an episode of say The Office. The newest episode will be there.

Then again, Hulu is just like Netflix. Hulu is better on PC and Netflix is better on DVD (Why? More shows/movies to watch).

Hulu plus on Xbox Live looks better than netflix and loads faster as well. Also hulu offers Tv shows a day after airing, you cannot get that on Netflix. This guy apparently didn't know what he was doing either, I had no problems going throught the sequencial seasons. Netflix and Hulu offer two different stratagies. Netflix concentrates on movies more and you have to wait a good period of time before being able to stream them. Hulu is about recent TV.

i can watch a HD Netflix movie and it will stream on ultra but if i try to watch a Hulu+ TV show in HD i lag like crazy <,<

I'm sure it's different for everyone...just bandwidth issues etc. I have 40Mb service fiber optic and the Netflix servers always slow down and pixelate. I haven't had the problem on Hulu yet, or on Zune. This just tells me that Netflix servers are either too busy, or not well equipped. Hulu may get there as more users hit it, but who knows...

Yeah, you need to put your info on the hulu website not PS3. The consoles are just a gateway to the service.

I don't know why Microsoft put this on their platform. You are paying for Hulu + with advertisement. Some shows are not available on the console version, so you would have to watch those shows on PC only. (even though you are paying to watch it on consoles).

The same shows they have, Netflix has+ movies. Hulu has TV movies. If you have netflix, then I really don't recommend this. Right now, Hulu is meant for PC.
