Drunk on Judgement - Nintendo 3DS Review: One Month and $250 Later

Drunk on Judgement - On March 27th, 2011, after much deliberation regarding where we would make our purchase, we finally got our hands on a Nintendo 3DS console that wasn’t bolted to a podium at knee level. Thanks to a great deal at Toys R Us, we also picked up both Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for a decent price. Seeing as the console retails at a staggering $249.99, we weren't surprised to find ourselves alone at the checkout counter. We’ve spent a month now with Nintendo’s glasses free 3D system, and we are now ready to share our experience.

As it stands right now, yes, I would say that. But trust me, I didn't spend over $300 on the system to go in predisposed to dislike it.

Hey its all good man. The 3DS sucks in this dudes eyes, but man you should read his ace review on the "Trans-Siberian Orchestra"... This gave um a ripping 5/5. This site even thinks "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" is superior to the Nintendo 3DS, giving that teen-loving flick a 3/5. Maybe some of us need to be drunk to read that site.

There will be games out for it soon though, and with backwards compatibility I see no reason not to upgrade.

Badly reviewing the device seems a little dumb.... I mean, just the backwards compatibility alone gives the device access to one of the greatest libraries of all time.
It'll soon have access to both DSi ware, and the eshop.
Oh, and all the cool stuff to come!
Nintendo really should have released the device at 200. That's where all the hate is coming from. Reluctance to pay the big price tag. Just like PS3! Thinking back... all the disdain I felt for PS3, was only related to the initial price. Now I freaking love PS3!

I have to admit the launch for the 3DS is not great. But ANYONE who thinks that the 3DS will die is just fooling themselves. Once the great games start coming for it, it will be selling even more.

and i should say this. unless you are a hardcore nintendo fan, you should wait for a price drop or until there are more games out for the system.

Can't wait for Tales of the Abyss to come out. :D

but If I get the new job im interviewing for Ill have more money to spend and might just buy a 3DS and NGP with my extra money.

After all, right now there are not many intresting looking games, but soon there will be some sweet ones that Id like to play.
