And that's not to say that development on the Wii is hard–it's not, and costs are about a quarter of what it costs to develop titles for the PS3 and 360. What made Wii sales tank is kind of what Skyler was getting at–lack of support from third party devs. From a consumer side–people absolutely loved Wii Sports and Wii Fit–and really did not pay attention to anything but that. Of course a bunch of shovelware came out because of its success–and Nintendo released some great first party titles, but you have to remember that a portion of the demo who enjoyed Wii Sports and Wii Fit, are not going to enjoy playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl or Super Mario Galaxy. And, those who enjoy playing those memorable first party titles, eventually grew tired of the wagglefest that most Wii games made you play.
