PlayStation Network still down, should Sony pay?

As of Saturday 10:15 pm, PlayStation Network servers are still down while Sony scrambles in an attempt to secure and verify security before bringing the service back online. What does this mean for you? Should you get something for free from Sony for the inconvenience?
