Conspiracy Theory: PSN Down on Purpose | OneMoreCastle
Take a look at the big stories over the past few days and you’re likely to see a trend. Nearly every website has reported on the PSN Outage, a problem that would likely have been annoying but not huge news if not for the recent attacks by hacker group ‘Anonymous.’ Like any gaming blog worth its salt, we reported on the original outage and earlier today our own Mat Growcott voiced his opinion. But I couldn’t help wondering if there was something slightly more sinister going on below the surface, and if you’ll bear with me as I think out loud for a few minutes, I’d love to get your reactions either way. Could Sony truly have taken away our ability to play games online in order to turn the finger of accusation back at the people who had targeted them just a few weeks ago?
