TechtimeNOW Review – Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat was a genre defining entry into the booming fighting game era of the early/mid nineties. Refinement of the series continued throughout the 3rd installment and its direct off-shoots. However, when the series tried to make a move into 3D fighters it lost much of it's appeal.
Now NetherRealms Studio hopes to change all that with the latest iteration. With a return to the original 2D style, an improved fighting engine, a new take on the story mode and an almost ridiculous amount of content, this 9th installment not only returns the series to it's former glory but brings it to new heights.
There are a few flaws with this title but they are vastly over shadowed by the improvements made to this new title.
