i enjoyed it a great deal but i had no idea it was that good until i picked it up for 14.99. Sad really some truely great games get over looked.

Xof5181d ago

It wasn't overlooked so much as it was carefully and deliberately released at a specific time guaranteed to prevent it from selling well.

ReservoirDog3165180d ago

It was something original in a world of sequels (nothing against sequels but sometimes new blood is good). I bought it for $60.

Still need to get that dlc...

persistentlobster5180d ago

Ditto. I picked it up used as well because I had heard such mixed things about it. After I finished it though I freakin' loved it and felt like a dick for buying it used so I bought the dlc.

Jio5181d ago

I loved it, only problem I had was how short it was. Only reason I would suggest you rent it, if it was a little longer it would be a must buy.

ceedubya95181d ago

Agreed. This game was a tease. A few more hours would have done this game some good. But, I'm interested in playing a part 2.

gorebago5180d ago

I rented it, beat it once, loved it yet couldn't find the urge to replay it. Likened to a film you buy and watch every now and then for less than $20 bucks it's comparable to that experience.

Kon5181d ago

Awesome game. But is too short with no replay value, but still is a good rent.

PandaJenkins5181d ago

Was a great game and one that deserves a lot more attention. I will admit I rented it because it didn't seem long enough but if I had not played it by now I would definitely buy it for the prices it has been cut down to.

Starts off a little slow but when you reach trips home it really picks up have not finished but im enjoying it still wish it was the original characters from the show would be lol.

11 video games that are actually based on books

GR:
Video games are distilled magic. They're able to transport us to far off places and let us play inside the worlds their creators have imagined for us. But before all of this newfangled technology took over, there was another way to escape into the realm of the fantastical: they're called books, and they're kind of important.

i am dying for a next gen Parasite Eve! This serie has so much potential..
One of my favorite of all time (on PS1).

DarkOcelet3400d ago

Tetsuya Nomura (Director of Kingdom Hearts Franchise and FFVII Remake) said he wanted to do a Current gen Parasite Eve game.

Add to that, we saw an Easter Egg of Aya Brea in FFVII Remake, i think Parasite Eve for Curent gen is coming.

I hope he does but it has to be horror. We haven't had a good traditional horror RPG for a long time (at least on home consoles) and I am hoping that a new PE would one of many to fill that void.

bouzebbal3400d ago

i love you man! you just gave me hope there!
PE is an amazing hybrid RPG/horror. PE2 was a slap in my face that game was unbelievable.
I think Aya is such a badass that i actually liked 3rd birthday, but let's not forget it was a mobile game in the beginning. A point and click type of game like MGS touch i believe.

DarkOcelet3400d ago

Parasite Eve 1 and 2 were horror for the most part.

The 3rd Birthday... Lets just pretend that game never happened.

And i agree, we need more horror RPG games and we need Aya Brea back :3
