Dealspwn writes: "FortressCraft is an outstanding achievement, an incredible precedent and a damn fine game to boot. I’d urge you to invest in the first episode of an emergent Xbox Live Indie phenomenon."
"FortressCraft: Evolved is now available on Steam for $5.99, game publisher Digital Tribe Games announced today via a press release obtained by Examiner.
With a series of gameplay improvements including TwitchTV integration and Build2Me, an interesting building feature that allows you to guide your cursor to and from a specific point you’d like to build, “FortressCraft: Evolved” appears to be a vast improvement over its 2011 indie hit predecessor."
"FortressCraft Evolved will be hitting Steam’s Early Access in December 2013. The original FortressCraft was released on the Xbox 360 in 2011 and became one of the best-selling Xbox downloadable games of all time. The newest version - FortressCraft Evolved - has been recreated from the ground up in Unity to produce a new, more powerful experience in creative world building. Having learned much from their Xbox Live Indie Game success, the developers at ProjectorGames are busy building excitement among the community who are creatively sharing their constructions with wild enthusiasm."
The game was pretty lame. I think the PC is far too saturated with quality voxel world building games for this to really go anywhere.
They may have a market for those who literally will buy nothing unless it releases on Steam though.
"DjArcas, the head of Projector Games and developer of Xbox Live Indie Game hit FortressCraft: Chapter 1 has confirmed that the sequel to FortressCraft, working title FortressCraft: Unity, will be released on Steam later this year."
Can't wait, really been looking forward to a super powered FortressCraft version
The creator would also like to do XBO and PS4 versions. Just depends how things go.
