Dynasty Warriors 7 Video Review - ZGR

Known by many for being boring, repetitive and button mashy, the Dynasty Warriors series has seen its fair share of criticism as it’s tried to attract new fans and maintain its current player base. Over the last week I had the pleasure to play through Omega Force and Tecmo Koei’s latest entry in the series, Dynasty Warriors 7; and to be honest… I absolutely loved it! Being the first Dynasty Warriors game I’ve had the chance to play, I went in with the perception that it wasn’t going to be stellar, but boy was I wrong.

Much better than IGN and G4's review where they bash the game for no reason at all. This is not bias in any way. Good, honest review.

Yea exactly, all the big name sites torture these games because they think its the same shit every time, when they score Call of Duty and Madden high every year. Most games these days don't have half the content in Dynasty Warriors 7, plus the amount of changes they have made make it a much better game.

EDIT: Also, @guy who reviewed this. I highly recommend you play the other Dynasty Warriors games, mainly the PS2 ones. They will provide you with so much entertainment, ignore what reviews say.

Yea as a fan of the game i can vouch for the PS2 era games, still have my copy of DW2 somewhere. The old games are a bit dated now but they're still fun to pick up and play. I recommend DW3 and DW5 if you get time to play them.

And yeh, agree with you about how 'big review sites' give COD a high score every year when the story mode is only 6 hours long. The story mode here took me 7 hours to complete for 1 faction. So 4 x 7= 25-30 hrs of story mode gameplay. Plus conquest mode which takes ages to complete. There is so much to do/unlock compared to COD. plus it has online co-op. The gameplay and graphics are really good for this game compared to previous titles. I was so suprised when IGN gave this a 5 when they'd given DW6 a 6. It's much better than DW6 and gets a lower score. Shows that IGN really didn't research the game/score it properly.

Agree with all you guys, and I think DW7 is the best addition to the series so far. Reviews that say DW7 changes nothing clearly haven't played the game properly. Either that, or they've never played the older games and just assume the bias stance every other website has when it comes to DW.

I'm not just saying this because I wanted DW7 to get a good score, but respect for playing the game with no bias. I think this should be done with all reviews in one way or another
