I would seriously remove Brink and Mortal Kombat, Duke Nukem Forever, MAYBE L4D and insert Red Orchestra 2, The Witcher 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Gears 3.

Gears is the best 3rdPS shooter series there is and Red Orchestra is the greatest WWII shooter ever. The Witcher 2 is RPG GOTY material with maybe only Skyrim standing in it's way as The Witcher is a classic RPG along the lines of Morrowind for RPG greatness. These three games have proven quality and INNOVATION in game play. SW:ToR would replace L4D because TOR is offering up the entire SW universe like we have never seen before plus added a TON of real time action to the MMO genre.

Brink has a great art style but the game play is nothing new. MK same game we been playing for 14 years and Duke Nukem Forever will probably be most remembered for being vaporware with a punchline, L4D is awesome co-op game play but every shooter 2day now has Zombie DLC (because of L4D) but i just feel these other 4 games are like the rest of the list are bringing something new to video games.

Add these four and the list is awesome! Dead Island gets to stay because of the melee, no ammo, real survival horror aspect that's been missing since RE.

I did overlook Gears and The Withcer i admit to that. I haven't touched my 360 other than for L4D lately so i forgot about Gears, same goes for PC games.

I don't know how your comparing L4D to The Old Republic though. Two very different gametypes and very different gameplay.

I'm not looking forward to old republic or orchestra though sorry. WWII games need to stop being produced unless they take an approach like The Saboteur or RFOM did. The only MMO i feel like dedicating my time to is going to be Guild Wars 2.

I dont have any interest in any of those games. I am just really losing my interest in games.

Hopefully their will be games at E3 that interest me.

That comment regarding MK is so ignorant I lol'd. MK is one of the few fighting games that has changed it's core engine(which is bad) so many times that you might as well lump them into their own series. Hardly the same game you've been playing for 14 years, unless you haven't actually been playing them.

Definitely getting at least 6 of those, number could increase depending on review scores or how I'm feeling when one is released

Managed to cut this list only to:
LA Noire
Battlefield 3
Uncharted 3
Batman AC

Imagine the geeks who play all of these and then still complain about the imaginary 'summer drought' of games.

MS could compress their games on disc

Skyrim is still my favorite ES game. I’m playing through it again right now since I never finished it.

jznrpg31d ago

Morrowind is by far my favorite. But I’m getting old and played Daggerfall Morrowind and Oblivion before Skyrim

ActualWhiteMan40d ago

Yeah totally. Definitely won’t be hacking it Nintendo 🤞🏻

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

Christopher70d ago

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast68d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic68d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee69d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator68d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast68d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.

At this point, if you still don't have these games, just wtf are you even doing?
