Third Party Exclusives are Here to Stay!
The Play Vault writes "I don’t know exactly when, but at some point a lot of game developers and publishers had the realization that the bigger the market, the bigger the income. The realization was shortly followed by a massive shift towards multi-platform development, seeing even the “loyal” developers such as Squarenix, Crytek and Bungie Studios sending franchises to new ground in order to reach new potential fans and, of course, their wallets. This move was followed by another crowd, namely analysts and journalists proclaiming that we’re witnessing the last days of third party exclusivity, but is there really no place for exclusive games made by others than the console manufacturers themselves anymore?"
