GEV Says: Last week, we had an opportunity to get out on location and check out the latest iteration of MLB 2K11. It was a great experience at the ballpark (which you can read about here), and it got up excited to check out the game. And we’ve been playing it pretty religiously over the last couple of days (we’ll have the full review later this week).
But today we had the opportunity to sit down with Sean Bailey, one of the Designers working on MLB 2K11, who was gracious enough to let us grill him about a number of topics, ranging from the game’s new fielding controls to the input cover athlete Roy Halladay had on the gameplay. Check it our for yourselves:

The New York Yankees are one of those teams, like the Dallas Cowboys, that you either love, or love to hate. But for most of his career, Derek Jeter has been the one guy most people liked. In fact, he was on the cover of 2K Sports MLB 2K5, 2K6 and 2K7 for just that reason. These days, with his poor batting average pulling down the team and his recent decision to skip the MLB All-Star Game in Phoenix (along with most of the other big names in baseball), he’s become the subject of negative press. Jeter talks about his earlier days, when playing video games was a bigger part of his life, in this exclusive interview.
