Blistered Thumbs: The monster hunting genre is an absolute phenomenon in Japan, with Monster Hunter 3 selling over 2 million copies its first week. However, that phenomenon hasn’t really carried over to the west yet. Whether it be the relatively slow pace, the continuous grinding, or lack of multiplayer opportunities, this genre just hasn’t caught on. Gods Eater Burst is looking to change that. The game includes a number of features not available to either Monster Hunter or Lord of Arcana that are sure to draw in some new fans. Is Gods Eater Burst the game to finally entice western gamers into monster hunting?
